Hi Everyone! We are ready for another interesting and full week!

Since Pesach, we have entered the cosmic window called The Counting of the Omer. And this week, the lunar month of Taurus starts. It’s quite an energy shift from impulsive Aries!

Traditionally, this window is considered a heavy astrological time during which difficult events have occurred historically. It is said that the Light is actually hiding from us; in a way, it is eclipsed.

Let’s get better insight into the atmosphere of the lunar month of Taurus. And of course, we’ll roast the sign a bit, as accustomed!

Our lovely friends, the Taureans, are controlled by the planet Venus (Noga, in Aramaic), which happens to be the foggiest planet of our solar system. Venus, in fact, has extreme temperatures because of the greenhouse effect created by the clouds surrounding it. At the same time, Venus is the brightest star in the night!

Venus is also connected to the challenges of love. Taureans have real issues seeing the truth in love; they feel clouded, like the planet, and often make serious mistakes in judgment. For example, some Taureans stay in bad relationships forever, even if abused! They will say, “I know my partner loves me ... even if they have strange ways of showing it.” But because it is all about love, Taureans are famous for starting the day very slow, dragging their feet to work, then being overly active at night (busy with love, of course!).

The external energy of Taurus is earth, while the internal sign is fire. Together, it’s a volcano! One of their traits is that they really dislike the word “change.” When communicating with a Taurean we can use the following words: upgrade, transformation, or improvement – just not the “C” word!

Mostly kind and patient under all circumstances, when they reach their critical mass, all hell breaks loose, like a volcano! The anger of Taurus is legendary. Taureans who affected the course of history are the best and the worst: artists (Shakespeare, Bono), inventors (Bartolomeo Cristofori, the inventor of the piano and Samuel Morse, inventor of Morse code), doctors, (Freud, Dr. Spock), Oskar Schindler and, of course, Karl Marx! Unfortunately, a bunch of selfish villains and dictators, whose dictatorship brought their countries back to the stone age, were also born under this sign: Saddam Hussein, Hitler, and of course, Lenin. All reflect the aspect of harsh judgment contained in Taurus.

Because Taurus is a fixed sign, blockages and delays are expected during this whole month. Patience and perseverance are required.

What’s going on this week?

First of all, the moon is in Leo and will, in the next few days, come very close to Jupiter, the expander. In astrology, the moon and Jupiter together bring a lot of inspiration, growth, and creativity to our lives. Ideas flow to us and sometimes women even get pregnant when Jupiter crosses their natal moon!

This is a great time to rethink our lives and regain inspiration about what we really want to do. If you can remember what you wanted to do when you were 17 years old, ask yourself, “Am I nearer or further from that goal?”

The combined energies of Leo and Taurus (sun, Mars, and Mercury) help us question our legacy, and the continuity of our work. It forces us to ask questions about the type of energy we are leaving in the world. How will we be remembered? Is the way we would like to be remembered congruent with the current situation? And if not, what can we do right now to improve it? Life is always a work in progress; we are never quite there yet.

Secondly, Venus, the star of this month, is positioned in Gemini. It activates the "ventilation system" in our lives and we really need it right now, since the world's chart is extremely intense with no air at all!

We need to make the time to restore communication in our romantic relationships, to touch base with our partners, and not be short nor impatient. This is the time to take a couple of days off, get away somewhere, and reestablish our energy together.

This is the week to really get out of our Taurus comfort zone and Leo self-centeredness. Every effort we make this week will be invested in the greater picture of our potential!

Have a wonderful week of great desire!

Chodesh tov, everyone!

Love,

Yael
