This is it! The three-week marathon of heaviness ends Sunday night! We've all felt the cosmic heaviness of this time period. Thank God, we begin a brand new time zone this week.
Here are just a few recommendations for the 9th day of Leo (beginning at sunset on August 13th and continuing until nightfall on August 14th), which finally ends the three-week cycle.
We all need to avoid conflicts that day. Even better, keep a very low profile or meditate. This is definitely not a good day for scuba diving, visiting the Amazon, hunting dinosaurs, or any other hazardous activity! Stay cautious, my friends! Also, it’s essential to avoid negative conversations. We all just need a good dose of humility, care, and patience for the day.
But it’s okay! There is Light at the end of the tunnel! Kabbalists customarily fast that day. They also refrain from washing and sit on the floor—restrictions set specifically to diminish the Light we receive on that day and anchor ourselves.
Let’s take a look at this week’s chart!
Actually, the cosmos is split between two distinct and opposite energies: Pisces and Virgo. How strange! We are in the middle of lunar Leo! Thankfully, the moon is in happy Sagittarius, conjunct with the MC of the chart. It’s good for charm, positivity, and movement, both spiritual and physical. And Saturn is still conjunct with Mars; the two malefic ones are still ganging up!
So, what does it all add up to?
The cosmic objective this week is to help us balance our minds (Virgo) and our hearts (Pisces). This is the most difficult challenge we face in our lives every single day since these two rarely agree with each other! Sometimes, the heart says, “Yes, I ‘desire’ this situation! Let’s go!” Then our brain gets all its alarm systems ringing. “What are you talking about?” says the brain, “No way!”
Why is it so difficult to work with both?
Kabbalists explain that the brain is the commander in chief of the body (the serious one). It receives the highest messages, whether they come from the Light or from the dark side. The brain is the siege of logic, knowledge, choices, and it’s definitely not a coincidence it is located in the upper part of our body, like a crown.
The heart, on the other hand, is situated one floor down! It centers our desires and emotions, and helps us feel things, people, and situations. The downfall: it’s extremely impulsive, especially when it comes to sharing and love. Everyone has heard the famous phrase: “Follow your heart.” Well, kabbalistically, that’s not completely accurate!
Our task this week is, indeed, complex. We need to hear what the brain has to say, and at the same time feel what the heart feels, while consolidating both messages! Our task this week is to give the brain and the heart their rightful places. But keep this one small detail in mind: the heart is a muscle. Therefore, “thinking” with our hearts is not exactly a brilliant idea.
The gift of this week is the full moon of Leo (Tu B’Av). As the full moon unites with the sun (the ruler of Leo), the heart also unites with the head. On that day, a great harmony rules the universe and we can finally see the truth about people—work partners, friends, and lovers. Traditionally, on that day, the singles of the 12 tribes would dress in all white and walk into the fields to find the other half of their soul.
This is, by far, the happiest day of the year. So, mark it on your calendars: the 18th of August at nightfall and the whole day of the 19th! It should be a day of great joy and union for everybody.
Be open to others, happy, connected with the cosmic harmony. Let’s get together and rejoice: every Kabbalah Centre in the world will be holding great events that night.
Who knows? Good surprises may await us! It’s a great way to end this week.
Remember to meditate on Shin Aleph Hey to reunite with your soul groups wherever they are.
Chag sameach to everyone!
Love,
Yael
