What is happening this week in the stars? We still have a grumpy cosmos with Mercury retrograde in Capricorn, conjunct with the Sun and Pluto, while Neptune challenges Jupiter with an opposition. Heavy weight here…
Thank God, more fire energy is entering the cosmos, as the moon is in Aries at the beginning of the week, Venus is in Sagittarius, and the chart’s rising is in Leo. Finally, some warmth is attempting to penetrate the universe!
Let’s focus on the triad in Capricorn for a moment. Capricorn energy is very tricky. On one hand, there is solid ambition and a great desire to manifest, on the other hand, there is a side effect: great expectations. Expectations of success, recognition, and (in a more problematic way) expectations of others that the job will be done, no matter what, in just the way WE want it. Generally speaking, since Saturn controls the sign, we are much more energetically prone to be untrusting, wary, and let’s add to the mix a pinch of cynicism!
So much for a warm and fuzzy cosmos …
As we are well aware, not all of us were born Capricorns. Therefore, this week we may find ourselves focusing on the shortcomings of every situation and everyone around us. Since Mercury is retrograde, things will also be communicated in a porcupine fashion!
The cosmic lesson here is two-fold. First, can we have the same expectation towards a giraffe as an elephant? Can we expect wolves to fly, and cats to swim? Not really. In other words, we are missing the point the cosmos is trying to make. The point is that we are all different, even if we are, in essence, made from the same piece of cloth. Our truth is not everyone’s truth.
What is good for me won’t necessarily be good for another. Maybe my karma is to speak up, and my friend’s is to remain silent because they speak waaaay too much! This week, we are learning to better accept and welcome differences between people, without expectations or judgment.
One of the most amazing qualities of true kabbalists (and I am thinking, for example, of our beloved teacher Karen Berg) is that they immediately recognize the good or spot the best talent in everyone and activate it. Unfortunately, we often get caught up seeing people’s lack and shortcomings.
So, let’s get ready to be tested on our ability to reinforce and better connect with the positive qualities of each and every one!
The second blessing – and not the least – is freedom. That’s quite a large concept! By freedom, we actually mean breaking free from many of our narrow views and limitations. Planet Uranus is actually the star of this one! Uranus is co-ruling the month of Aquarius along with Saturn.
In this week’s chart, Uranus is trining Venus, conjunct to the moon in Aries, and both are very close to the MC, the highest point of the chart! Aries is THE sign of freedom par excellence, and Uranus is very at ease in the month it rules. Thanks to Uranus’ solid positioning this week, we are all inspired and influenced towards a higher degree of breaking free from many of our limitations.
Here is our homework for this week, and it’s not to be missed! Write down everything that prevents you from taking risks and striving for better. Whether it is fear, or comfort zone, or simply an absence of desire. Then meditate on drawing down the fire of Aries and Uranus to push through it.
