Hi everyone! Another important week unfolds (yes, I know - by the look of things, EVERY week is important!!).
Let's examine this week's chart together; what we find is very intense, but very enlightening.
Saturn has been in Scorpio since October 5th, 2012, and has been retrograde since March 2nd. Saturn will again be in direct motion on July 16th (NB: retrograde motion always brings slowness or complications somehow). The infamous zodiacal IRS is striking again!
But, to be fair, Saturn is also a teacher, and it brings the results of the choices we have made, so it is now clean-up time, time to let go, time to take control. And Saturday is a Full Moon in Saturn's sign; the Moon is, in fact, in Capricorn at the start of the week. Pluto is opposed to the Sun in Cancer and in retrograde… so everything feels very, very heavy. We really don’t want to end up howling like a werewolf this week!
On the other hand, we notice that most planets are either in cardinal or mutable signs right now, which is a clear indication that the cosmos does not want us at a stand-still.
So, what is the plan? How can we bypass all this heaviness? And what message is the universe trying to communicate here? There are many cosmic lessons this week, but the biggest of all is that happiness is in the movement, not in the stillness.
The way we are trained to think is as follows: If we have a great relationship/job/ place to live/friendship, etc., then we want to make sure we keep it that way, maintain it, never ever change it… if it's good, then why should we?
But, have any of you ever heard the sentence: "the good is the enemy of the great?”
What we don’t realize is that the world is under the law of entropy. In other words, in any natural process there is a tendency towards energy losses, and then decay. And so while it appears that we are maintaining our positions, we are, in fact, going backwards! We need to imagine ourselves in this life like we are in an airport escalator that goes down while we are trying to climb up… we need twice the effort!
The chart of this week is about deep changes (Pluto) and being bigger and more whole, like the full Moon. Very importantly, being in the full moon of Cancer, we should expect many fears to emerge; the purpose of which being for us to face them, shrink them, and let go of them.
Does anyone recall in one of the Harry Potter books where the fear becomes a monster, a beast, and by just shouting the word “ridiculous!" it disappears? That’s pretty much what's occurring here; the monster is not real, it just appears to be.
Venus and Mercury in Gemini and the chart’s rising sign in Aquarius are all here to lighten us up. Jupiter the expander is still pushing us forward… all these facts converge to help us get unstuck, to free ourselves this week from our own fears and limitations.
The energies of the week are very chameleon-like to show us that happiness has many colors, many paths, and that we should remain open and ready to try them. Our teacher Karen Berg wrote in God Wears Lipstick, “as a child, I was different from others, people would take a road to the right, I would always try the other road." And it is thanks to her that Kabbalah is available today to everyone.
We have here an amazing opportunity to fill up the gap between where our soul really wants to lead us versus where we want to be just because it’s more comfortable.
This week, we need to say "why not!?" to everything that presents itself to us. Let's get ready for new adventures!
Have a great week everyone!
Love,
Yael
