Hi Everyone! Right now, we are at the peak of the second month of Pisces (Adar), since the full moon will appear this coming week. Full moons are renowned for their ability to channel a very powerful and concentrated energy on all of mankind, as well as nature. As it happens, medieval kabbalists and healers would collect certain plants only during full moons, so their potency would be optimized.
This year, we will witness several interesting cosmic events. At the exact moment of the full moon, there will be a lunar eclipse. This eclipse follows the solar eclipse we witnessed at the new moon of the same Pisces month.
Kabbalistically, lunar eclipses are challenging, because the moon rules arts, spirituality, deep emotions, and inspiration. It is said that the moon rules spiritual people, whilst the sun rules more “external” types of personalities.
This cosmic event will indeed require some additional effort for us to bring more patience and Light into all our surroundings. The consciousness of every single individual can positively affect the cosmic balance!
Thankfully, this full moon is also related to a much awaited universal event. Twice a year, under planet Jupiter's influence, a cosmic window for the impossible to become possible opens up. The first one is during the Holiday of Lights and the sign of Sagittarius (also called Chanukah), and the second one occurs this week, and is called Purim.
What are we required to do in order to connect with this wonderful window of energy?
First of all, this week’s chart contains an overwhelming amount of water planets: eight in all! The moon is in sensitive Cancer, the very sign ruled by the moon, which tremendously amplifies feelings and emotions. The downside of so much water is over sensitivity and moments of intense melancholy. All this energy should really be directed and channeled towards others in the form of empathy and understanding. Our feelings should be compassionate and kind!
In kabbalistic astrology, the element of water is always associated with the right brain, because it allows us to tap into the realm of intuition, prayers, meditations, and sharing!
But, of course, there had to be a challenge of some sort in order for us to draw the amazing energy of miracles appearing this week! The challenge comes out of self-related emotions!
Purim is the holiday of joy. And in all fairness, the most intense moments of joy in our lives come from sharing with others, and being a part of the greater good. This whole week our focus should be on others, not ourselves. We should all extend a hand outside of our comfort zone and add many acts of kindness to our daily routine. It’s the perfect time to volunteer and send out as much Light as we can.
This week is all about simple love and simple Light! And the window of miracles will open up for us. So, the plan of attack is as follows: Wednesday night and Thursday (the 23rd and 24th) be merry, open your hearts, share your Light all around, and look at life with pure eyes. This is the time to draw as much joy as you can from the cosmic bank, for the whole year to come.
If you are near a local Kabbalah Centre, many connections will occur. Don't forget to be in touch!
Happy Purim, everyone!
Love and Light,
Yael
