Hi everyone! A brand new cosmic zone starts! Let’s get ready as three events occur this week!
First, it’s that time of the year again: Mercury has gone into retrograde for three weeks. Remember your survival kit: patience, a plan B, and flowing with whatever circumstances are thrown your way. The cosmos is not trying to torture us, rather it is simply encouraging us to slow down so we’ll reflect more on everything in our lives. Care should be taken to not waste time in useless and unfruitful conversations. Let’s make sure we get to the point and simply move forward!
Second, since the full moon of Pesach, a new cosmic portal has opened called the counting of the Omer. Traditionally, this time zone has been considered a complex astrological time during which, throughout history, difficult events have occurred. Kabbalistically, it is thought that the Light is actually hiding from us in order for us to reveal it. In a way, the Light of positivity and blessings is partly eclipsed, like it’s playing hide-and-seek with us. As long as we actually look for it, this can be a time of great understanding and achievements.
It’s customary in kabbalistic tradition, not to start anything new this month, until the 18th day of lunar Taurus, and the highlight of this time is called Lag B’Omer (the night of May 25, 2016). Of course, we can move on with business as usual, just as long as we are not taking any risks.
Third, at the end of this week the lunar month of Taurus starts! It’s quite an energy change from the impulsive and fiery Aries. We can feel it already! Since Taurus is a fixed sign, delays can be expected during the entire month.
Let’s get some better insight into the lunar month of Taurus, its atmosphere, and of course, we’ll roast the sign a bit, as is custom!
Our lovely friends the Taureans – as well as the month – are controlled by the planet Venus (Noga in Aramaic), which happens to be the foggiest planet of our solar system. In fact, Venus has extreme temperatures because of the greenhouse effect of the clouds surrounding it. At the same time, Venus is the brightest celestial body in the night sky!
Venus is also related to a type of challenge, or klipa, connected to the whole idea of love. In fact, Taureans can have real issues seeing the truth in love. They can sometimes feel pretty clouded, like the planet, and make serious errors in judgment.
A typical example might be staying in a bad relationship forever, even if abused! Our kind Taureans will say, “I know my partner loves me, even if they have strange ways of showing it.” But because it is all about love, Taureans are famous for starting the day slowly, often dragging their feet to work, and being overly active at night!
The external energy of Taurus is EARTH while the internal sign is fire. Together they make a volcano! One of their traits is a strong dislike of the word “change.” When communicating with a Taurus, use the following terms: upgrade, transformation, or improvements, just not the “c” word! Mostly kind and patient under all circumstances, if they reach their critical mass, all hell breaks loose like a volcano! The anger of Taurus is legendary.
Taureans who affected the course of history are both the best and the worst: artists like Bono, Bartolomeo Cristofori (the inventor of the piano), doctors like Sigmund Freud and Benjamin Spock; Samuel Morse (the inventor of the Morse code), Oskar Schindler, and of course, Karl Marx!
Unfortunately, a bunch of selfish villains and dictators whose dictatorship brought their countries back to the Stone Age were also born under this sign: Saddam Hussein, Adolf Hitler, and of course Lenin – all reflecting the aspect of harsh judgment contained in Taurus.
Our job this week is to really connect with the beautiful Light contained in Venus, the brightest thing in the night sky. We need to find it in us, no matter the delays and cosmic controversies, to love, inspire, and move forward, even if slowly! (For the record, five planets are in retrograde motion this week!)
Let’s play it safe; no unnecessary risks are to be taken. And let’s arm ourselves with an extra dose of patience!
Chodesh tov, everyone!
Love,
Yael
