Hi Everyone! We are right in the middle of the marathon of the Omer. Since we passed the full moon of Taurus and Lag B’Omer, (the 18th day of Taurus and the death anniversary of Rav Shimon bar Yochai) the cosmic energies will alleviate somewhat.
What does this week’s chart teach us?
Well, a very important point this week is that Saturn is in opposition to Mercury and Mars, which creates a kind of slow motion energy. Mars is our fuel, so imagine driving a car with a very low tank of gas. Don’t be surprised if you feel like you are walking in mud! Everything feels a bit sluggish this week.
Venus is at home in Cancer, while the chart’s rising is still in Sagittarius. Taurus energy is still very predominant. So, the theme is … you’ve guessed it … home, traditions, and basics.
This week's plan is to calmly go back to basics. A few points need to be raised.
First, if we are, indeed, seeking peace and tranquility it has to come with compromise. Ask yourself, “Where am I willing to compromise,” versus “Where am I not willing to compromise?” Compromises are uncomfortable since, at the end of the day, no one is happy about them. Oftentimes, we tell ourselves that for the sake of peace we are willing to set aside principles, feelings, and instincts, while knowing internally that a choice is probably a very bad idea.
This week, our challenge is to draw a line separating the compromises that will not affect our destinies and the ones that will. For instance, if you feel like dining in a Greek restaurant tonight, but your friends or partner really insist on a steak house, that would be a positive compromise. If it makes them happy, have the grape leaves and lamb tomorrow instead. That’s a very proactive decision since it won't change the course of history and no negative consequences will follow. On the contrary, we'll probably enjoy our dish even more tomorrow!
Now, let's assume we are at cross roads in choosing a career path. Friends and even family may seem to be lobbying for us to become an accountant, (for example) because it's safe, guarantees a good paycheck, etc. Yet the idea of spending the rest of your life buried in papers and numbers makes you feel nauseous. Your soul may be guiding you in a completely different direction. This is a choice that will alter your life forever.
This week, it’s a fantastic idea to reflect on our true desires (as opposed to the desires of people around us) and put everything in the right order. And so it goes with our lives! A great practical exercise for us to try this week is to write up a list of priorities—a positive bucket list of what we are truly meant to do in this life. Our top priority is what we believe is our true spiritual mission in this world, then the smaller actions, which will get us there, then the entourage we truly seek, the people we love and care for. Next, our small daily actions, and finally, everything else we know we cannot control and are willing to simply let flow.
We have an opportunity to place order in our lives and activate our spiritual priorities. Having accomplished that, it will become very clear what we can or cannot compromise about! On a practical level, let's just draw a list of three or four very strong priorities or beliefs; these will constitute our roots. The rest of the list will slowly be created later on.
The second gift of this week is about building a real home. It is said that King Solomon started building the Great Temple in the month of Taurus. This is definitely a great time to start building ours! Simply put, let's spend time and energy redecorating our houses to make it feel more like a "home." Maybe create a meditation corner with all your books or get rid of unnecessary objects. In short, we really want to invest in our sanctuaries, so in the future we will have all the energy necessary to recharge and reach our goals.
There is lots of great work to be accomplished this week! Take your time and make it happen!
Have a fantastic week!
Love,
Yael
