Hi everyone! Another really important week is given to us for amazing spiritual growth. How so?
This week’s chart opens up with the moon positioned in fiery Leo, and a gazillion planets in Scorpio (Sun, north node, Saturn, Mercury). They are all located in the 6th house of the world chart, the house of work and service for others.
The first challenge we are faced with this week is quite clear: Leo and Scorpio signs are not exactly BFF 's! It’s like we are caught between a grandiose fire and a huge pot of boiling water. Ouch! Simulateously, Mars (a fiery planet in itself) is opposed to Neptune in Pisces, again a duality of fire and water. The consolation is that the chart’s rising sign is in Gemini (finally some air!) and we will see how to use this blessing better.
Inevitably, when we talk about the moon entering the sign of Leo, we have to bring up ego issues! Leo is ruled by the Sun and in Kabbalah it symbolizes the giver, the ultimate sharer and life bringer of the zodiac. You guys who are born under the sign of Leo, please share with us the last time you've actually asked for help! Let me think…..when you were 3 years old? God forbid any Leo not consider himself superman, the giver and savior of humankind!
What happens this week is that we are going to be faced with some uncomfortable truths about our egos and pride. You may ask, why now? Because Scorpio energy is going to bring everything out. Scorpios make excellent detectives, as you already know. Very few secrets can be hidden with so much Scorpio energy in the universe.
We need to understand that ego is not the easiest thing to spot in our character. We think, well, this guy is arrogant, he's got a big ego. But ego sometimes takes the mask of false humility, victim behavior, shyness, etc. What a Pandora’s box to open!
This week, a lot of reactivity will emerge. We'll hear ourselves fighting criticism, defending ourselves, and even sometimes, masking the truth just to let our ego live a little longer. The gift is that we can now see it. This week, it becomes clear to us that many behaviors and answers are motivated by our arch enemies: ego and pride.
Kabbalists wisely ask, who needs an ego? Is my ego essential for my survival? Do I need to be right all the time? Do I need to let people know what good I do, how great I am, how much I know? Actually, quite the opposite! It is diminishing to all the good actions we do to become publicized. This is a great week to plan plenty of secret positive actions.
Another point we need to become aware of: this week, planet Mercury, the communicator of the zodiac, is in retrograde motion, which started last week, October 21st, and will last until November 10th).
Obviously, this is going to create some communication challenges. However, this is a great opportunity to go back in time, along with Mercury, and really reflect on past egotistical behaviors. We learn that when Mercury is in retrograde, we can reflect and better correct unwanted behaviors of the past.
How many times have we spoiled a relationship or a friendship because of our pride, because we refused to admit we were wrong? The powerful Scorpio energy will clarify things for us, and therefore tremendously shorten the processes.
Now that we have discovered egotistical traits, what are we to do? Stay home depressed, beat ourselves up? Not at all!
The blessing of this week is the rising sign in Gemini. Gemini lightens up the whole chart and will push us to call a friend and say, oh my God, I have discovered something about myself! Let’s meet, I need your help! This is the homework of this week; recognition and sharing with others will get us in a much better place.
The second item of homework is to not react to criticism, which will prove challenging indeed! When we wisely use the energy of this week, we will witness a tremendous lightness and happiness in our hearts once the heavy ego is dismissed, which was the plan all along!
To be continued…
Have a great week everyone!
