Hi everyone! We just entered the most important zone of our spiritual work this week, right before the cosmic New Year, Rosh Hashanah! Indeed, the energy of this week reflects that very special zone and so much has to be said about it that I am afraid I’ll run out of ink!
Let’s start! How does this New Year’s chart look? None of us will be surprised to hear that this year’s chart isn't the simplest or the easiest ever. We don't need a microscope to see how many issues the world is dealing with right now. Many areas of the world’s charts are complicated.
Firstly, Pluto in Capricorn is really slowing down many areas of the world’s economy. We all need to be more respectful with our money (Capricorn!) because we are still terribly irresponsible with it. How many of us still run our credit cards with no money in our accounts? It’s like buying something with wind. The cosmos is trying to teach us that we are the managers of the money, not the owners of it.
Why? That sounds rather strange.
The kabbalists have taught us that sustenance comes from the taps of above. The Light and the cosmos are the ones that don’t trust us with money. We are not born with a purse full of cash in our hands! So the first lesson of this Rosh Hashanah is caution, hard work and more appreciation of material belongings.
Secondly, the area of partnerships and relationships doesn’t look brilliant either. Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn who is currently in Scorpio, rules the house of long-term relationships. Think about a prison guard in charge of your love life. OMG! What does that mean? Seriousness, a desire to do things right, and avoiding all the games we usually play in relationships should be on this year’s menu.
I know, I must sound 1,000 years old! However, the change is our choice and we should be willing to alter our consciousness. As we learn in Kabbalah, everything depends on the way we think. If we go into partnerships with the right mindset—a serious one—amazing things will happen and many wonderful lessons will be learned on the way.
Thirdly, Uranus in Aries, the first house of the chart, shows us that many quick changes will occur this year, for better or worse. We all need to meditate on avoiding global natural disasters since Uranus rules all that is unexpected. Kabbalistically, we know that it CAN be done through positive human behavior and meditations. Stopping chaotic behavior on a personal level stops it on a more global one. It’s what we call the butterfly effect. And we should be on that wavelength for Rosh Hashanah.
Finally, the Light at the end of that tunnel: the only brilliant, amazing domain is the one of personal work! I promise, I haven’t tricked the cards! This is exactly what it says: Jupiter entered Cancer a few weeks ago, and that’s a powerful position that can ground and protect the rest of the chart. Jupiter is located in the 4th house, the house of our personal life, spiritual work, and inner understanding.
The kabbalists are truly visionary—I personally remember about a quarter of a century ago, our teachers, Rav and Karen, saying from the point of view of the Zohar there will come a time in the age of Aquarius called: Oy ve ashrei, which means the best and worst time in human history. How can it be both good and bad?
The kabbalists answer wisely: whoever will truly make an effort to change and improve himself, will be evolving in a very positive way where events in the movie unfold amazingly. Otherwise, the complete absence of consciousness causes the movie to be much more complicated, if not painful.
Our most important job this week: grow a true desire to alter our consciousness, and change! Change whatever is necessary to help our consciousness grow stronger—your hairdo, wardrobe, perception, friends, JUST DO IT. This week, let’s show the cosmos what troopers we are. Let’s bend the arm of the cosmos towards something truly amazing for all humankind. And let’s not forget to meditate regularly on sending Light everywhere where there is darkness, starting with our lives.
I wish you a very, very happy, all-grown-up New Year! And we'll talk again soon!
Much love and Light!
Yael
