Hi everyone! This is our last week before Rosh Hashanah!

Our beloved teacher Rav Berg always talked about this time as our opportunity to go "back to the future." It’s literally like using an eraser to wipe away all the parts of the last year in which we were less than our best selves.

Last week, we felt the effect of a lunar eclipse, so this week we will need to strengthen ourselves. Let’s find out how the cosmos is supporting us this week.

The chart starts with a very sensitive Cancer moon and four planets in Libra, which sounds peaceful enough. Although, at closer look, it seems the cosmos still contains tons of water—a total of six planets in water signs! What is the cosmos trying to tell us with this combo of water and air?

The first and the most essential aspect of this week is the idea of internal peace. What it means on a practical level is rather simple: learn to accept yourself and recognize all the great gifts the cosmos gave you. These gifts are double: they are the blessings we count in our lives, and the inner qualities and talents we were given!

Often times in our spiritual work, we have a tendency to focus too much on what we need to correct and change, on what’s wrong with our behavior and the behavior of others. Although, it is important to accept responsibility for our past behavior, it’s equally as important to understand that life is a journey for which the Light gave us many presents.

Wow, that’s a first! Looking at the good and only the good.

I suggest a practical assignment for the week ahead: make a list of all the great things you already have in your life, and all the good you bring to others. My friends, you are in for a very pleasant surprise!

This week is about reinforcing all the goodness so we will be off to a great start in the New Year. Think about it for a moment, what coach would focus on all the faults of his team before a big game?! We stand before the biggest game ever, the one that will determine this entire year to come! Let’s cheer ourselves up with all the talents and achievements we have!

At the end of this week, we are also blessed with a very positive day: the kabbalistic day of the creation of the world (Wednesday, September 28th). This is the day everything started.

It’s about time we got a good reboot, as this is indeed an opportunity to go back to a clean slate. All of us start life with great hopes and expectations that slowly get eroded by disappointments, challenges, and misunderstandings. Now we have the opportunity to remember and revive the “me” that existed before erosion and life’s punches!

Our second mission this week is to feel closer to each other, as we are all “pieces of the same cloth,” as our teacher, Karen Berg likes to explain it. It is very simple—we all have the same desires and hopes, very similar dreams, and we are all looking for the same Light. Our essence is the same, no matter what color, place in the world, or family we come from. If we could peek into our past lives, we would discover that we have pretty much entered every shoe and scenario imaginable!

This week we are choosing to get closer, to be more open, to dream, and to hope—just as we did 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago. Why? Because we can!

I want to wish everyone a wonderful year full of Light and blessings! Much love to everybody, and let’s continue praying for peace.

Shana tova!

Love,

Yael
