Hi everyone! This week many interesting events take place!
I have often been asked about the famous blood moon occurring this week, September 27th-28th. The blood moon is, in fact, a total lunar eclipse visible from many places around the world – specifically, North and South America, Asia, and even Africa.
Here are some interesting facts:
First, September 27th-28th, the moon is called a super moon, which means it will be full and at its perigee, the closest to the Earth and the most influential to all of us.
Total eclipses of super moons are rare. They have only occurred five times in the last century: 1910, 1928, 1946, 1964, and 1982. After the total lunar eclipse on September 28th, a super moon eclipse will not happen again for another 18 years.
The total lunar eclipse on September 28th is the fourth and final eclipse in a series of four total lunar eclipses. The first three took place on April 15th, 2014; October 8th, 2014; and April 4th, 2015. We have had quite an interesting year, indeed!
So how does this all relate to us?
Kabbalistically speaking, the moon rules people who have chosen a more spiritual, internal path. An eclipse is a time for deeper thoughts and insights, and gaining a better understanding of our meaning in life. A moon eclipse also pushes us to fight for our beliefs and to stand up for good. But, it has to be done in a tolerant and open way.
This blood moon occurs during the cosmic window of Sukkot, the time of the year when the energy of mercy enters the cosmos and is drawn into our lives. It is also the holiday when a stronger bridge between nations is created, when we understand how intertwined we all are. We all are sparks of the same original vessel and this is the perfect moment in time to feel it very deeply in our hearts.
This whole week, we should meditate on canceling and sweetening judgment, as well as sending Light to all nations of the world. The name ‘blood moon’ comes from the reddish color the moon takes due to the position of the sun’s rays. In Kabbalah, red is associated with desire and judgment.
On the 27th, the moon will be located at the tail end of compassionate Pisces and will enter the sign of Aries the next day. Aries is the warrior of the zodiac, ruled by Mars, the red planet. Our job is to be warriors for peace this whole week!
So, on the menu this week is the 72nd Name (Aleph Vav Mem).
To be continued…
Have a wonderful and enlightening week!
Love,
Yael
