This is it! We are at the tail end of the three weeks of heaviness! Sunday, July 22nd is the most difficult point of this time, and from Monday onward the challenge will recede. Through Sunday, take care to keep your cool and minimize all actions, as this is the day dedicated to our “shadow self,” so to speak. Use this time to meditate on bringing compassion and mercy to the world.
Let’s take a look at this week’s chart, which is actually quite eventful…
First, a few dates to mark in our calendars… Mercury will go into retrograde motion from July 26th until August 19th. Let’s be sure we make ourselves completely understood during this whole period of time. The cosmos will challenge our communication and all forms of transportation.
In addition, on July 26th and 27th a quite rare phenomenon will occur. First, there is a full moon in Aquarius. Second, we will also have a blood moon (or red moon). Third, there will be a total eclipse of the moon. So, the moon will be completely challenged during this whole period of time. This is a surprise since the full moon in lunar Leo is the holiday of love – the Valentine’s Day of the kabbalists we call Tu B’Av.
So, what’s going on? Is this a total eclipse of the heart? In a way, yes!
The cosmic objective of this week is to help balance our minds (sun) and our hearts (moon). This is, by far, the most difficult challenge we face in our lives every single day. These two entities rarely see eye to eye. When the heart says, “Yes, I desire this situation. Let’s go!” the brain usually hears its alarm system ringing, “What are you talking about? No way!”
Why so complicated?
Kabbalists explain that the brain is the commander in chief of the body – the serious one. It receives the highest messages, whether they come from the Light, or from the dark side. The brain is the domain of logic, knowledge, and choices. It’s definitely not a coincidence that it is located in the upper part of the body, like a crown.
The heart, on the other hand, is situated one floor down! Its job is to center our desires and emotions, to help us feel people and situations. The downfall: the heart is extremely impulsive, especially when it comes to sharing and love. Everyone has heard the famous saying, follow your heart. Well, kabbalistically, it’s not completely accurate!
Our task this week is, indeed, complex. We need to hear what the brain has to say, while sensing what the heart feels, and consolidating both messages. This week is about giving the brain and the heart their rightful places. But let’s remember one small detail: the heart is a muscle; we won’t find a single neuron in there!
Therefore, “thinking” with our hearts is not exactly a brilliant idea. This is the cosmic lesson of the eclipse of the moon: the universe is showing us we cannot rely solely on the heart.
As the full moon appears in this month ruled by the sun (Leo), our gift is the reunion of the heart and the head. It should be a time of great joy for everybody – the ideal cosmic moment for opening up to others and connecting with universal harmony. Let’s get together and rejoice! Every Kabbalah Centre in the world will be holding great events the evening of July 26th and during the day of the 27th.
Remember to meditate on the 72 Name, Shin Aleph Hey, to reunite with our soul groups, wherever they are!
