Before he became the great leader that he was, Moses was a poor shepherd. One day, one of his lambs lacked the strength to follow him back to the pasture, so Moses picked it up and carried it in his arms.
The Creator thought: If he cares so much for a little lamb, how much more can he care for the people? And with that, He appointed Moses as leader of the Israelites.
Leaders like Moses are the type of leaders that we need in our world today: leaders with consciousness, leaders who care, leaders whose goal is to create true change and harmony.
Amidst all of the pain and chaos in the world right now, let us ask the Creator to help us to be this kind of leader in whatever sphere we live and work. Yes, all of us can be leaders in one capacity or another. As John Quincy Adams put it almost two centuries ago: “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are a leader.”
