Nourishing a World in Pain

To nourish and bring life and energy to this hurting world, we need to bring humanitarianism into our daily lives.

What do I mean by this? Well, according to the Merriam Webster dictionary, a humanitarian is “a person who works to make the lives of other people better.” So when we say “thank you so much” to our spouse when he brings us a cup of coffee, or we ask the person in the next cubicle at work how she is doing, we should do it not simply to be polite or “nice” but rather because we have a desire to grow our caring for humanity and our connection to the Light of the Creator. The idea is not only be aware of those around us, but also to be willing and ready to extend our energy for them.
