As we arrive now at the New Moon of Cancer, we are in the beginning of a period that is notorious for teaching us important lessons – whether we are open to learning them, or not. Cancerians love to learn, but they don’t necessarily enjoy taking risks. It’s these qualities that give us a glimpse into how the energy of Cancer will affect each of us in the coming month.
One thing is for sure: We will learn many things during this time – but how we choose to learn is up to us. The most proactive way will be to take more risks that push us out of our comfort zone, before we find ourselves faced with challenges that may force us to.
To some extent, we all prefer playing it safe – no matter how adventurous we may believe we are. There are certain areas in which we cling to our comfort zones, and as a result we don’t grow. For example, we might be uncomfortable opening up to others, but by choosing to trust people a little more this month, you will either wind up with a friend for life, or a lesson for life.
Playing it safe keeps us locked into our limitations. To break out and experience the limitless joy that the universe means for us to receive, it’s important to take leaps of faith, and to have certainty that the outcome will be the one most beneficial to our growth.
This month, don’t be so afraid – of anything. Know that no matter what, everything is going to be okay.
Taking more risks in the month of Cancer will teach us the most important lesson of all: That we are so much more capable than we give ourselves credit for.
