As we are happily settling in lunar Pisces, let’s examine the great opportunities of this week.
It is said, when the month of Adar (Pisces) enters, we should be filled with joy. Meanwhile, we are filled with water! The moon is in Cancer at the start of this week, while Neptune and Mercury are both in Pisces. Thank God, we have the support of a few solid planets; the chart’s rising is in earthy Virgo, Venus is in Capricorn, and Mars just entered stable (but stubborn!) Taurus.
"Let’s examine the great opportunities of this week."
Due to the position of three planets in the fifth astrological house – the domain of creativity, children, and love – our first lesson is very much about our ability to share and give of ourselves to others. To confirm it, Mercury and Neptune are conjunct in Pisces in the seventh house, the domain of the “other,” affecting all partnerships, marriage, and love!
Neptune in Pisces complicates our work a bit, since it blurs the boundaries of love! To love, or not to love? If yes, when and how do we do it right? This sounds Shakespearian at best! But, this week, we are readying ourselves to peel back the layers covering our true desires. It’s time to take things into our own hands, and be more real about love. Ask yourself, why am I in this relationship? What am I looking for? Am I conducting myself as I would like to be treated? The cosmos helps us pinpoint all our shortcomings related to partners and love, so we can become truer to ourselves and to others!
Pisces energy is also about a greater desire for spirituality. Let us then inquire how we can deepen our spiritual studies.
Recent studies demonstrate that people who meditate on a regular basis, or who focus part of their time on spiritual practice have different brain waves. Moreover, CAT scans in these groups showed that parts of the brain not usually activated in the average population, were actually lit! In a way, they are using more of their potential!
"Strive for deeper understanding of the spiritual meaning of love."
Interestingly, this energy appears in the most intellectual of all the water months – Pisces. In kabbalistic astrology, Pisces is considered the “air of the water,” and those born under the sign are naturally more spiritually or philosophically inclined.
Our teacher, Rav Berg, explained that the critical mass of enlightenment in the world doesn’t reside in the number of people with a higher consciousness, but rather in the quality of their spiritual quest, and in their ability to love and share. Our homework this week then is to study with greater enthusiasm, to strive for deeper understanding of the spiritual meaning of love, and to ask a thousand questions, if needed. This is an unbelievable time to rekindle our studies, spiritual or otherwise.
Every single one of us can gain a higher consciousness with just a little effort!
Wishing all of you a very enlightened week!
