I've been down and life is definitely not moving in the direction I would like it to in terms of business, relationships, happiness, and love. I don't want to live despondent anymore. I would like to start a new journey but don't know where to begin. Can you help me figure out what I need to do first to get my life going on the right track? ~CC
I think the fact that you’re expressing your wish to no longer live with despondence is the best start you need. Nurturing that now is the key – Karen has explained that we measure ourselves by our intentions but the Creator measures us by our actions! So, your desire to DO something is right on track. Without knowing what exposure you’ve had to spirituality (in general) or the Kabbalah Centre (in particular), I’ll start at the root.
I suggest either going to a local Kabbalah Centre, or getting in touch with one of the many great teachers within our student support network who guide countless people all over the world. Enroll in the next Power of Kabbalah 1 course (either for the first time or again) because you’ve got to nail down some responsibility and accountability.
That is, you need to identify where in your work, your relationships, and your sense of self you’re letting yourself down. Where are you not seeing the bigger picture about you? In what area of your life are you missing your potential? Are you listening to the wrong voice within and making the wrong choices? Uncover how the effects of your words, thoughts, and actions have closed gates in your life. This investigative work will lead you to identify how your spiritual work can start to expand and open new gates for you.
When you sit with a teacher, you take it a few steps deeper—wrapping all the ancient wisdom to your practical life needs. He or she will show you what you are attracting, why you’re attracting it, and what tools are best in order to change ‘the movie’. Imagine being able to really understand WHY you, your soul, and the universe around you have actually conspired to put you into this position.
Remember throughout the course to keep a balance of 50% introspection and 50% jump-to-action. Don’t be too philosophical, which is, as they say, the paralysis of analysis. And don’t be too “gung ho,” jumping into walls headfirst. You need to use the tools that a professional teacher can give you at the Centre, dig down to get some powerful messages, and jump to change. After you’ve received the universe’s feedback, you can internalize those messages and act. And so long as you’re active and perseverant (which requires quite a bit of spiritual strength – it’s far easier to be depressed, blame others, whine, and moan, right?), you’ll start to navigate every branch of life more successfully. As all that Light starts to pour through you, you’ll feel better and better, too.
Much easier said than done, I know. Just take the first step!
