Lesson Highlights

  • Doing the work for its own sake
  • Work that shines forever
  • El Na Refa Na Lah
  • Filling the lack of the Shechinah with prayer
  • How the Ba'al Shem Tov brought miracles to the world
  • True Humility

Lesson Description

Beha'alotcha contains the first instance of prayer for another person, the eleven letters for healing known as El Na Refa Na Lah; God please heal her please. Michael reveals the code here is that any form of physical lack is a reflection of a spiritual lack. By directing the intention of our prayers to eliminate lack in the Shechinah, we can bring miracles to the world. Of the many lessons we can learn from this portion, we also gain new insight into the power of doing our spiritual work for its own sake and true humility.
